Since the top of the feed portal is close to the edge of the trough and and above the rim of the trough this one will just pour the feed out and cause waste.
Perhaps if there were only a smaller holes in the bottom of the bucket at each of the scallops on the pan it wouldn't be so bad. No money to be saved with this one.

i have 3 of them i hang them on string and the feed don't overflow

Cool idea! What are you using for the bottom of the feeder? Is that some sort of serving tray?
