My 4 month old Frizzle is paralyzed, but still eats and drinks!

I feel like terrible but, I really feel that you should have a necropsy done on one of your birds. Symptoms are too great to ignore and now there are 3. That is much more than coincidence. I'm not trying to be mean or make you feel worse than you do...I just want you to know what you are dealing with. I do hope that it isn't what I fear and that they all go on to live long lives. If you have been treating with vitamins for a month, it isn't a vitamin deficiency, sorry.

I stopped the vitamin treatment, when the frizzle seemed better, just a few days later. I started back up last week. I'm trying to find someone to take her to that can get the necropsy done. I'm starting to fear the worst.

Contact your local state extension office...they should be able to help. Some people are having luck finding everything that they need online. Sorry you are having so many problems. I've been there and no the suffering involved

I agree. Really after a week with vitamins some improvement should be very obvious.

Thank you! I'll contact them now.

I'm sorry to hear about your frizzle. I know exactly how you feel. I had a to cull my frizzle today(my hubby did I couldn't do it). After a month long stuggle of vitamins and everything else I tried no luck. Thankfully when we got her she was in quantine and never came out with other flock. It is heartbreaking! I love my chickens(ya I'm nuts but I do). I am really sorry but I know I made the right decision. Same symptoms as yours. She ate like a pig drank good and poop was normal but was paralyzed could stand briefly but would fall over. Good luck with the rest of your flock

You really should think about having a necropsy done. There are diseases that are spread even while the bird is in quarantine. You need to know what killed your frizzle in order to protect the rest of your flock.

She's actually still alive, eating and drinking.
