How long do you think it will take her to snap out of this? She can barely stand at most And in the pool she can move her legs to swim.

Hard to say, sometimes the next day you can begin to see a difference, but if it's niacin then just hang in there, do you think she could have some how injured her self? Being able to use her legs in the water is good though that means she has good muscle movement. How long do you think it will take her to snap out of this? I'm sorry to hear she is having such difficulty sounds like it maybe more than a niacin dif. Just really hard to say only a vet to give an accurate diagnosis, but if not an injury then hopefully it is,. But yes you can get any breed of goose you want, I have an Embden and a Toulouse they get along great. geese do like their own but if finding a goose would be difficult if the ducks will accept your goose that would be fine till you can find another. Do you think she could have eaten something toxic?I guess anything is possible but I'm the only one that picked them up and I really don't think I hurt her. Both legs flop out from under her. Either they flop to the side or back of her. She looks really frustrated & I'm worried the stress is taking its toll on her bc she's not as bright eyed and tucks her head down. If she goes "south" on me can I buy a Sebastopol to be my other Embden goose's friend? Or do I have to get another Embden. I have 4 Peking ducks would the ducks keep my one goose company or would I have to buy another goose?
2 steps then 5 is awesome progress is progress, can you make them something temporary outside so they have more room and are only in the box for sleeping? make sure she has good traction under foot too, nothing to cause her to slip, and keep up the water therapy. She's only had the food I've given her in her box so I don't know of anything other than the cardboard box.
Yesterday she stood up, let out a scream and took 2 steps. This morning the did the same thing but took 5 steps. Maybe she'll get better and start walking again. The other goose is getting to big for the box and normally I'd put it outside buy I don't want to break them apart.
Great news keep up with the niacin too. maybe even bigger does since she is older.I put watermelon in the box and she stood up and hobbled over to it. She still has a long way to go but I noticed when I stated adding melon I've been getting more movement out of her so either it's time for her to start doing better or maybe the vitamins in the fruit are helping her.
