My 8.5 week old quail has stopped laying eggs

I have a female coturnix quail who layed 8 eggs and then stopped 4 days ago. When she hatched she was half the size of the other quail and had not fully absorbed her yolk, but she is now the same size as the other quail. Our other female quail is still laying eggs. Can anyone with experience in similar situations give me advice?

How many hours of daylight are they getting? I ask because most quail will stop laying below 14 hours. My second batch of chicks this year was weird and started laying when we passed that mark, so there are odd ones. Maybe your non-layer is just feeling the seasonal change more strongly than the other one.

Thank you for your reply. They have light between 7:00 am and 9:30 pm every day.

Interesting...only 2 of our 10 hens are laying...with over 14 hours of sunlight everyday.

Any updates? I still get only 2 eggs a day out of my 10 hens.. I am thinking about getting more lights.
