They grow so fast my kids are obsessed with them, and so long as he stays friendly-ish, he/she does a stellar job letting the ladies know of hawks and dogs nearby... though they are hoping it's still a "she" with just some rooster qualities and spunk, we will likely keep it regardless

I get attached to easily. But its so hard not to get attached.

Yeah, we assume at this point but they hold out the hope anyway.. he is loved one way or the other this whole sexing chickens has me questioning every little thing they do though I do believe the other 5 are pullets at this point.. he is the lucky one

If it helps you to compare, I have an Orpington pullet who is 10 weeks old and her crest and wattles are way smaller and less red than your Bob!

Also her Barnevelder sister too.
