My 9 week old cockerel pecks at me alot

My clothes specifically, when he's with me.. is it just for attention or what? I ask because he's always been VERY calm and friendly with me picking him up, or approaching. Even when its just plain clothes with nothing interesting to peck at, he just pecks and pecks with a strong tug lol

It does not sound like aggressive behavior, but I would set boundaries and make him stop.

You need to peck him back, you to make sure he know you are the boss. Cockerels need to know their place before their hormones kick in.

I would not be happy with this. Be aware, how a cockerel acts today, is no indicator how he will act tomorrow. I think this is aggressive behavior, and I would not keep this bird.

So of course after I made this post he's not doing it lmao, so I guess it's not EVERY time/nonstop, but yeah I'd say fairly often/daily* But for the most part he does own his thing, minding his business away from me

Ah yes an update~
1000% not aggression- Seems to be a social/curiosity thing, as his female sibling and the female silkie (both very friendly) do it as well. They're definitely just interested in my clothing's weird textures/prints He doesn't do it as much now
