Thank you! the first hardwire we hung was a learning experience and I'm glad we put that in the back where no one but chickens will really notice. By the time we got to that door and side, we knew what we were doing! I really like sandwiching the wire in, make me feel like my chickens are in fort knox

Maybe try making a lightweight frame for your board. It could prevent the flimsiness and not add a lot of weight. I'm planning to make mine with a 2x2 frame covered with a piece of louon.

Thanks, I just decided to clamp the whole thing down and it's very sturdy... and working great. The girls put themselves to bed by themselves tonight and are all up on the roost smooshed together sleeping peacefully. The poop board works great and I'm SO pleased.

Now to figure out my run/pen/forager solutions... but for now, I love having chickens outside my back door. Happy!
