Thanks again! I will get a little more adventurous with the treats, I did buy chick grit so they will for sure have that. I need to buy some sand or soil (my property is mostly clay-ish like most of Oregon) I have noticed the girls trying to bathe on the paper towels LOL.

Just make sure there's no silica in the sand. Breathing in silica is as bad as asbestos. Usually you can find sand at a sand, gravel and cement yard that is ground up from gravel.

You have GOT to let those chicks fly! It'll have you shouting with glee! Don't be alarmed by the screeching that they can't help doing. It's kind of like a baby who is feeling the thrill of being in a swing for the first time! You'll be wishing you had wings, too.

Thanks...I will look for the sand. It is 61 here today, sunny and beautiful...so the 3 week olds got some more outside time. A couple did do a little flying today, only a couple feet at a time, but they sure loved it. They were also relaxing in the grass and opening up their wings to the sunshine.
Speaking of grass...do they ever get tired of eating it? I tried to make sure they didn't get really large or long pieces as best I could, even got pulled into a couple games of grass football LOL. They also found a caterpillar and a small slug...I took both away, just because I wasn't sure if they should be eating that stuff yet. I hated putting them back in the house in their brooder after about a half hour 45 minutes of freedom.
