My Aracaunas have started laying! How big should the eggs be?

Araucanas don't lay the biggest of eggs but I can say they are very persistant layers. They pretty much match my red stars for production. I get a blue double yolker now and then. They are pretty impressive!

A recent pic...

Great egg pic's from both of you..

Guitartists, that egg is long..maybe they will widen up, you know a few years ago people use to say and think you'd hatch all roo's from long eggs..however its not true and just a folk story, of course there may be a few out there that may still think this way..lol

Guitarists, your Ameraucana eggs are gorgeous! Just the color I am hoping to someday get from my flock, but I have feed store Ameraucanas. Do all of your birds lay eggs that color??

Great pics! Birch Run... the lighting on your pic is gorgeous! As are the eggs

My EE came from frizzledhen's EEs.... she had been breeding them for some time for egg color.... I don't think she has them anymore though

But I hope to breed the hen I have to my Ameraucana roo for some more EEs to add to my flock

She lays such a nice egg color and size wise... plus she lays almost an egg a day
