I thought I would share a pic of the drain pipe on our pool. My husband drilled a hole and put a threaded piece of pipe with a screw on cap in and put putty around it. Then he connected a piece of pvc pipe long enough to reach into the woods behind the duck pen so all the water drains into the woods. I unscrew the cap every evening when I close up the ducks so that it is drained in the morning and all I have to do is turn the hose on, rinse it out and replace the cap and let it fill back up. The plus to this is that while it fills up I am able to use the hose to water all the other animals right there at the pens so I don't have to truck water back and forth anymore. By the time I am done feeding and watering everyone the pool is filled and I am done for the morning.
