My babies are leaving this Sunday.

Oh peep! Im so sorry.

I hatched my self some ducks, and out of 4 I got 1 hen. Then one male died. So I have to get rid of my 2 boys. Makes me so sad! But they have to go. Cant keep em all :hit

They're so easy to get attatched to.

Roos are not allowed in our town in our backyards. We raised 10 chicks last year and my 8 year old daughter's chick turned out to be a roo. She cried for an hour, very quietly by herself, when we found a new home for him. I agree with a previous poster who said that the flock is not the same without him. The girls looked for him for days. I loved that roo!

How are you? Doing ok?

Yeah. Thank's for your concern.
I'm getting used to life without them around, but it is hard. I'm so happy to have the 4 that I do.
I miss the crowing in the morning. Every one in a while I'll just stop and hear the silence. They were so noisy!
The first night without them I just had a big hole inside, but it's getting a lot better.

I try to find good homes for all my extra boys, it's sad sometimes but I think of it as sharing the joy they gave me with others. Hopefully the lady will enjoy them like you did. I have people all the time email me and update me on how they are doing....

I was just thinking about you and wondering if you made any plans to have the people update you on how they are doing? I know when I've had to sell/give pets away, I always loved hearing updates and try very hard to keep in touch with the people that I get pets from. Everyone loves to hear how their babies are doing!

She really does enjoy them. She doesn't kill, unless they are in serious pain.
She loves her chickens!
