My baby Buff Orpingtons arrived today!!

As for the picking on.....I had that happen, and I needed to seperate the picked on/trampled on one for a week to heal. (BUT I also put in 2 chicks that were mellow and got along with her, to keep her company and warm- additional to the heat lamp)

My baby Buffs will be 4 weeks on Monday. The boys were marked at the hatchery but I noticed that at 3 weeks their combs were much bigger than the girls so it was easy to tell after their marks grew out. Yours are adorable! They are such a beautiful breed.
 
I raised the heat lamp a little and immediately half the chickens fell asleep which makes me think it was too warm in there.

And now that it's not so warm, I think they're feeling better and leaving that one alone. I only saw it pecked at once. Aside from that one peck, the chick snuggles up to the other chicks and they snuggle back. Maybe it was a shipping incident. I'll keep watching though.
