Great work! I love that you even thought about the clean out door... I rushed into hatching before I got the brooder figured out, and I wish I had had something this well thought out. I’m so stealing this design for my next brooder

Well, seeing as you offered... how did you frame up the bottom, 2x4 on edge or flat? Any corner bracing or cross bracing for the center? And how thick is the flooring material? Overall size in feet? (I’m guessing 3x4)

Oh, for a brooder that isn’t on the floor! And a thought out functional lid that doesn’t involve constant re-stapling of the window screen material over the sides? Never mind the spill proof feeders and waterers! Can you see the green glow coming from my eyes yet?

I used 2x3’s to frame out the brooder box and just paneling for the sides. The overall size is 2’x3’. And the bottoms is made from 1/4” plywood. The Base that it sets on is made of 2x4’s. So it’s actually two separate pieces. It will make it easier to move if I need to. Here are a couple pics before I put in the flooring. I can upload a few pics of the base maybe tomorrow. If you’d like?
