Hi Everyone. I am really hoping you can help. I bought my Spring batch of baby chicks 2 days ago along with 3 straight run ducklings. I had a chick that showed signs of a pasted vent and the other babies were pecking her. I cleared her vent and put her in with my ducklings for safe keeping. She seemed to be doing well but died this morning. I also had a chick die the first day home but thought nothing of it since not all are bound for this world. Both of the chics were Light Brahmas After giving my ducklings their bath today I noticed that 2 of them could not stand up. I immediately separated them from the other, but I don't think either are going to make it. It really seems as if this is some kind of virus that causes neurological deficits and then death. I had this happen last year as well and it wiped out half of my flock. Has anyone had this experience before and if so do you know what this is? I have researched but have found absolutely nothing.... Thank you in advance.
