I just found this message board and I am hoping to get some advice for my baby (He thinks he's a baby) rooster! He is extremely imprinted and has no idea he is a chicken! Long story for another thread. Anyway, last week it was in the single digits and Chicken Little whom I thought was getting along with the other chickens just fine was forced to sleep on the ground and his feet froze. So I brought him inside until he thawed out and then put him in a cage outside. (It took a lot of tough love to get him to live outside in the first place and I did not want him to think he was going to live inside again!) I think the cold weather was too much for his (already once frozen) feet because they froze again even though he was on hay. Now, he can hardly walk and when he stands he falls over onto his side. It has been in the upper 60's all week but his feet are turning black. Is there any hope that his feet will survive? Is there any hope that he will survive? What should I do to help him?
