What makes you think your EE isn't laying?i
I am sure my easter egger is not laying yet and we only have two other chickens that lay brown eggs
she has not even squated yet and i know for sure she is not laying. What makes you think your EE isn't laying?
It appears there is an EE who looks like a Barred Rock but lays blue eggsEE's aren't a recognized Heritage breed .They are mixes, mutts and beautiful hybrids. Congratulations on your blue eggs but no barred rock laid it!![]()
I’m sorry but barred plymouth rocks do not lay colored eggs. They are brown. U either have a mixed breed making it lay colored eggs or she is sneaky and hiding the egg she is sitting on when u check. Mine have done that. I checked under and no egg but when they leave there’s 2. It’s a good possibility if she is a BPR she isn’t laying yet but ready. I’ve also noticed that not all pullets squat when they are at point of lay.update: we got our second egg and its blue
That's been said several times already in this thread.I’m sorry but barred plymouth rocks do not lay colored eggs. They are brown.
My neighbors can hear my barred rock squalling every time one of them is sitting on a nest or laying an egg.Fortunately the rest of the day my house is quiet. My Dominiques are quiet.I’m sorry but barred plymouth rocks do not lay colored eggs. They are brown. Chickens with red earlobes lay brown eggs not all of my pullets squatted before laying
But with the red earlobes she should lay brown eggs….right?!That's been said several times already in this thread.
The chicken was thought to be a Barred Rock because of her appearance. But then she started laying blue eggs, which made it obvious that she is not really a Barred Rock.
