My BAs are Insane!

My BA's are really the calm ones, it's my BO's that are crazy! Well, just a couple of them, they think they are SO brave...they will peck at your hand if you get close. I believe they are the little roos..I just make them let me love on them even longer...

Ok ... newbie here again. I'm just guessing that BA = Black Australorp? BO = Buff Orphington? I get my chicks tomorrow and I'm still trying to decide which to get...

Wow mine were not like that as babies at all! By far the calmest and sweetest. If they don't "nice up" I would try getting some from another strain.

My BA's were outgoing and sweet to people. Can't recall any problems of craziness with them. But then, that was a year ago. My BO's and Most of my ameracauna mutts (I'm making a new initial "AM's" to refer to Arucauna/Ameracauna Mutts) are really sweet as well. A couple of my AM's are more flighty than the others, but if held the right way they all settle down pretty quickly when handled. Everyone scurries around like crazy though, when I work with their brooder cleaning and filling water dishes etc. Silly birds. They will figure it out though. Just love on them more than the rest and longer and they will settle eventually.
