Just by looking at the goose it holds it's head and neck like a gander. Congrats on the new goose and hope it will adjust well and fast. It will get lonely and miss his old place but will soon learn that you are the feed person and it is not so bad there.
He is so beautiful, and I can see how this would affect him but he will adjust it will take time, my gander was raised with ducks and when I brought a goose into his life at 6 yrs old he wanted nothing to do with her, I had to literally fence him and Missy together without the ducks to help him see he was a goose. It was hard but he finally adjusted but it was about 3 months and actually more like 5 before the relationship was really cemented, breeding season, and your so close to it now. So don't get discouraged give him time, and Lucy hopefully will help the transition since she is probably lonely too. lots of love and understanding will help which I'm sure you both of.![]()
