My best hatch so far! Pic and video!

ME TOO, This could be the answer. Of course I used a Little Giant thingy and it just sucked. But, you are right, the little boogers are usually in need of help becuase of the membrane getting too dry. Even when one puts the eggs on a damp towel when they peep it still is problem. Learn something new all the time on here.

I wanted to add that I took a look inside the last two eggs and found interesting results. One was completely formed, ready to hatch, but was completely upside-down in it's shell. The other was still very gooey from the fluid around it and still had a whole yolk in with it so I am assuming it quit in the final days. Either way, both were doomed not to hatch.

I have had some not hatch just because of the positions they had gotten themselves into in the eggs too.
Today I have a quail egg pipped. There are just 9 quail eggs in there so we'll see how it goes. I will add them to the brooder with the 14 quail I hatched from PC.

I had to help a chick hatch that was the wrong way in the shell, she pipped but couldn't get any further than that... She's a lovely little girl, a blue Aruacana. lays really pretty blue eggs too!

This one just never pipped so I had no way of knowing which end it was until it was far too late. If it had pipped on the wrong end I probably would have helped it out.

I had two in my hatch that didn't pip, I was too chicken to open those eggs to see what happened.
