just a little update about the happenings here, our police chief arrested somebody early this morning, the guy was chlostrophobic, cuffed him with his hands behind his back, when they knew to cuff him in front. well the guy died right there in the cop car. they even told him the guy stopped breathing, but apparently chiefy did nothing. don't come here! you get arrested for chickens! so far this town of 1,000 people has 3 lawsuits against it. (not counting mine if NEOC finds them in violation). i'm scared for my life almost!

Cuffing in front vs behind has to do with safety of the officers. When cuffed in front, the person cuffed can use the cuffs as a weapon.

However, to ignore a cuffed suspect who has breathing problems is horrible! At best it is negligant.

they have arrested this person before, and they knew his condition. apparently he even begged them not to cuff him behind. just deplorable. the guy he was feuding with was put in the front seat and he's the one who said "hey he's not breathing"! the chief continued to take his report, ignoring the guy's pleas. i think this is it for our chief of police, who already ran somebody off into a ravine, killing that person, a few years back. well sorry to get off the chicken subject, but i just thought maybe this agency should be exposed as much as possible, and the way they handle certain situations. i understand about the safety issue, so just let the guy die, as long as the officer is safe! geez.

thank you. they have vowed to fight me "tooth and nail". so i have to somehow overcome my anxieties and keep fighting so i can have my life in a happy little order again. not just mine, but other people in this town who just want to live and let live. oh and the plot does thicken, keep posted.

Don't forget, littlegorb, that there are others fighting on your behalf. It's always best to give credit to those who are helping you. As far as Bayard goes, I have heard it more than once in the last 24 hours- It's time for a revolution here. Bad cops equal a bad society.

i agree, and i have said the same thing. there is something really really wrong here. if there are others in this town fighting for me i wish they would talk to me, i won't bite! it's not just the chicken thing, it's other issues. i only know of one person willing to face these people, and they won't listen. maybe if this town gets lawsuit number 4 started, then maybe. with the death of this guy in police custody, i think all hell is fixin' to break loose! (another forum).

i get to go sit my fine out in jail next week (illegal fowl). i refuse to give them a penny of my money for this so i'll get a free stay at the Morrill County Motel! probably will only be 2 days, so they can cite me for animal neglect next! i don't mind being a martyr for my girls, maybe i can quit smoking, and i'll get to wear those cool orange and black striped pants!

That's unusual--I would have expected an order to seize your girls rather than a sentene for you. Contempt?

i was fined 100 dollars and 44 court costs. the mayor gave me 2 days to get rid of my girls. i told the judge i would not pay the fine, i would sit it out in jail. he even gave me 60 days to pay, but like i said, they're not getting one red cent from me!

the NEOC investigator told me that she is having an interview with the mayor this week, and i should be on the next city council agenda. if they still won't budge then my complaint goes to the NEOC commissioners, they have 100 days to complete the investigation.
