My birds are freakin LOUD!

I live in a resdential area. I have five sexlinks. All of my immediate neighbors (and some more) know we have chickens. In the morning they cackle like crazy...BAWWWWK, BAAAWWWK....BaGAWWWK! Then "Elvis" sings. Sounds like a sick monkey. What gives??? I thought sexlinks were docile, quiet creatures.

Are they singing the egg song? Mine get loud and sing after they lay an egg. My rooster joins in with them....He is a great supporter. He also crows if someone drives up....a light comes on at night...etc....

my sex links, RIR and Brahmas are the loudest in my bunch. Try keeping them in their coop till a reasonable hour.
