Can you put a leash on him, and from inside the Coop, slowly + gently pull him up the ramp and through the door to train him? He would gain muscle memory (correct term?) for going up the ramp. Maybe change the ground texture right in front of the ramp so he knows where to start expecting it.

I like @ChemicalchiCkns' idea of having different texture in front of thd ramp... maybe a mat or something the chickens couldn't disturb by scratching, like they could gravel or sand.

We have about 3 inches of snow now. I think those are both good ideas that will need to wait until spring. Even Juliet doesn’t understand the idea of the ramp so I will try your idea on her too. Is it just me, or are silkies not the brightest of chickens?

I can attest to that. Juliet was sitting on a nest with no eggs this summer. Not much for brains but a whole lot of cuteness.
