OK so I tried to hatch my chicks and ended up with only one live BR(my baby) so I then bought a baby blrw from a friend to be a friend to the br. Well here are some pictures. For the first 6 weeks the blrw had no sign of a comb or wattle so when it grew them around 6 weeks I was not too worried--girls can have them too--but when he started sounding like a creaking door aka doodling well I have pretty much decided it is a boy although it is the wimpiest boy! Then my BR has had a wattle and comb almost the whole time but no real growth in them nor has it started to crow. I was wondering if you would look and let me know what you think about the BR. My friend who I bought the blrw from said she thought the BR was a boy. It is darker in color and has the dark splash down the front of its legs. However it is so brave and is so personable. It loves me and comes up to me when all the others run away. It kind of acts more like a roo! It was very hard to get good pictures of it because it was soooo curious about the camera!!! I would move to get a side shot and it would move too! lol!
