My BR is sitting on everyones eggs

I have a problem, my BR started sitting on all the eggs from the other hens about two days ago. She will sit all day on the eggs someone told me she wants to be a mommie...Should I let her be a mommie (which means I will need a Roo) or can I brake her from doing this with out her getting depressed? This guy at my feed store also told me he would give me furtal eggs for her to sit on..any advise?

Only get the fertile eggs if you want more chickens. And remember that half will likely be boys...

My BR does that sometimes too. It's called "broody". I chase her off the nest as often as I can. Sometimes I have taken the nest away entirely (this does, however, upset the other hens). I don't think she gets depressed, but I know she doesn't lay when she's broody so I force her "back to work".
