My brave WR Rooster killed by hawk today...

I have read new stories where hawks that were attacking people were either removed or dispatched from their attacking location.Might be something worth looking into if the hawk is attacking people.Sorry for your loss.

Thank you all for the nice replies. This was a wonderful roo! There were several others his age in the same area at the time and they all ran under the bushes and hid. He was the one that charged out to save the girls and youngsters the hawk swooped down upon and he did this with no hesitation. He was always so attentive and sweet to all the hens and babies. I miss him. Have not seen this hawk lately but we have been working in the area putting a front and door on another building to make still another chicken house.

Ya...this thing would swoop right by us within a few feet.

It has no fear, like something in a horror movie.
