my broody messed up? D-day today...

So I went out to my coop this morning to check on the eggs that my broody is sitting. Today is day 22...I notice that she is outside when I walk out there. And when I get in the coop, 3 of her eggs are pipping! What in the world was she thinking???? This is seriously the first time i have ever seen her off the nest since she went broody a month ago. I just check on the eggs again and there is no more progress. Did she ruin the hatch?

Has your hen gone back?
Have you an incubator if there are still signs of life?

I actually threw them under the hen next to her (apparently silkies all go broody at the same time

). And then she came back in a little bit later and I put the eggs back under her. They are pipped but no other changes...hopefully something happens. I had to leave so I wouldn't keep running out to see what was going on

. This is my first broody and my first set of eggs to hatch from the silkies that I hatched last Christmas. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I checked on her tonight and when I reached under her to feel the eggs, one of them was fluffy!!!! So hopefully the other 3 will turn fluffy overnight, lol.
