My Buckeyes not laying....

These photos are back when we first got them right after we finished the coop...I'll also send some pics from today...
Yours look a little undermature (not a word lol) in terms of laying. Small, pale combs, bodies aren’t filled out, the like.
I think they’ll pick up soon.

Here are photos from just now...we also put a light that shines in for "more daylight hours", another suggestion we received...
Oh, those must have been old photos. These guys look mature. And you coop looks great. I think it’s still just a waiting game.

Not all pullets will lay their first winter. I have had it work both ways. From what I have experienced, the later they “should start” laying in the fall, the less chance they would lay in the winter.

Or, they could be laying but the eggs are being eaten before you see them.
I agree... it sounds like they’re eating the eggs.
I’m not saying they’re laying a lot, just that they are definitely purposely consuming eggs.

I also agree. Sounds like they are eating the eggs. Right now they shouldn’t be laying though. Not unless you have supplemental light. I recently added supplemental light. My LF have started up again, but my bantams haven’t.

I have heard that a curtain over the front of the egg box will help prevent egg eating... not sure about this. When I used golf balls in my nest boxes, they didn't eat many of the eggs.
I have an egg eater and since I have identified her, as soon as the weather is a bit warmer, she is soup!
