My Buff Orp lays long eggs

My Buff Orp lays long and narrow eggs. Is this the normal for this breed?

they look like what my dh calls missle eggs. At least yours lays you eggs mine would only lay 1 egg a week so we gave her away. She was over a year old and only laid 1 egg a week . We had bought some pullets from ideal and dh said that if they all were like her we would go bankrupt feeding them and getting nothing in return so he sold 5 10 week old orpington pullets basically gave them away sold them for 2.00 each

my buff orp are laying small pink eggs! One just started laying and the other one has been laying for a month. Will the eggs get larger and darker?

My girls who are all just in the startup phase of their egg laying are laying these missle eggs too - a mix of buff orps and barred rocks.

For some reason, the hotter it gets, the more of them I am getting too - maybe it's a sign of the heat?

They still taste yummy though!

not quite sure how to show pics, but sounds like a missle egg to me. She is 2 years old, and lays everyday. I call her "Henny Penny". lol

Mine lay light tan to cream colored eggs, fat and nicely shaped. No torpedo eggs at all.

One of my RIR hens usually lays a torpedo egg, too. I agree, they look funny!
