what great pics! i live in santa cruz, ca, which is a major migratory pit stop for monarchs. they convene at natural bridges state park, and hang out in the eucalyptus grove here. the heaviest numbers are around thanksgiving. just the other day i was riding my bike and i saw a shadow to my left of a butterfly. i looked up and saw a monarch. it stayed flying alongside me for half a block. i felt so blessed!!
