Please help! I have a 14 week old silkie chick and she has been having a hard time balancing. She eats and drinks well. The last 2 days she has food stuck on her beak and keeps opening and closing her beak. What is happening with her and how can I help her?

Welcome To BYC

Can you post some photos of your chick and her poop?
What do you feed including treats?
Where are you located in the world?
Was she vaccinated for Marek's?

Not being able to balance could be neurological. I would try giving her 1/4 tablet B-Complex and 400IU Vitamin E once a day. Offer her a little scrambled eggs once a day too.

Not sure what's going on with food sticking - has this happened before? Has there been a change in feed? Is she scissor beaked?
I would check her crop to make sure it's emptying overnight. It would be worth investigating to make sure it's food that is stuck and not something like canker that is forming inside the beak.

I can post pictures tomorrow.

I feed them medicated purina starter feed. Meal works, and some corn. I just added sunflower seeds (vit E). Today was actually the first time.
Located in Ontario.
She was not vaccinated for Mareks. Im so worried about that.
I started giving her B complex last week.
I made scrambled eggs, she wouldnt eat it.

Her beak isnt scissored. I have never changed their feed. Thank you, I will make sure to chk her crop tomorrow.

When I put her down, she almost looks like she trips and has to use her wing for support to stand. And today she started picking at her feathers. Couldnt find lice or mites.

I ordered nutri drench, do you think that would work?

Thank you so much for replying

I have thr liquid B complex, how many drops would you recommend and should I be giving it directly in her mouth? Or in her water?

Heres are the pics
