So sorry you lost your hen, you did a good job at trying to take care of her wounds. Could she have had internal injuries that caused her to bleed inside? You would not have been able to detect that.

If there had been internal bleeding, comb color would be probably be pale and there would have been lots of blood seen when the OP cut her open.
