My chicken disappears for days then comes back for little while and then disappears again.

So I have an Americana rescue bird that I’ve had for a couple months now, and about a week and a half ago she went missing, I looked all around and couldn’t find her, I assumed a raccoon or coyote got her, but after about 4 days all of the sudden, she reappeared but she was walking around with her wings down and making noises like a broody hen kind of. But then she puked and I’ve never seen a chicken puke so I went to go get a box to put her in so I could take her to my spot for sick chickens to try and help her out a bit, but when I got back not even 5 min later she was gone and I couldn’t find her again, well again today I spotted her coming out of the old barn walking around like a broody hen, and then she had a massive, smelly terd, so I assume she is hiding her eggs and trying to hatch them, but today when I saw her she seemed much more healthy, should I consider catching her and risk the chicks dying, or let her hatch them out and see how it goes?

The next time you see her, follow her carefully. If you do it discretely, she will lead you to her hidden nest.
