...you know... "buck buck buck buck!"
anyway, been reading on this website & these forums for a year or so, decided to finally register because I have a couple questions. I am from sw washington state, have had chickens for a few years now. I increased my flock quite a bit this spring, and for the first time, am having a couple problems. I know I can find help here because everyone is so darn nice!

I have :

  • 2 hens that are 2 yrs old (1 ameracauna and 1 RIR)

  • 18 hens and 1 ameracauna rooster that are a year old (2 buff orpingtons, 1 blue maran, 1 black copper maran, 7 ameracaunas, 2 partridge rocks, 2 austrolorps, 2 belgian d'uccles, 1 black sex link ....all have names!)

  • 30 chicks at 9 weeks old (2 white ameracaunas, 1 buff ameracauna, 3 silver lace wyandotte, 2 gold lace wyandotte, 4 australorp, 3 black sex link, 3 buff orpington, 4 barred rock, 1 white silkie, 2 buff silkie, and 5 RIR)

  • 4 chicks at 4 weeks old (hatched out by broody mama) 2 ameracauna from my best egg layer, and 2 half breeds: ameracuana roo and maran hen

  • 28 chicks that are 10 days old (3 black silkies, 7 white rocks, 8 welsummer, 6 dominiques, 4 new hampshire reds)

Yikes. I don't think I realized how many birds I really had until right now. Anyway, I love them and I am glad to be part of a community that won't think I am too crazy to have so many chickies!

That's a lot of chickens

Hello and :welcome

Wow, that is a lot of chickens. But sounds like you'd have a lot of fun with them all!
You should check out the Washington thread in Where am I, where are you. I think that one is the longest thread on the entire site. :p

Anywho, don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have, and enjoy the site. :D
