my chicken has a huge scab on her butt... how can I heal it?

my OEGB has this huge scab on her butt. it's from when she sat on the ground while it was frozen and it pulled off her skin. now it's this huge scab. how can I make it heal quicker?

Sounds like she is doing well on her own...I would be very concerned about other chickens pecking at it though, is she out with the others? You might get some blue kote, or other gentian violet anti-pick treatment to discourage them. You could also give her nutritious, high protein treats to help her heal faster, such as yogurt, washed cottage cheese, small amounts cat food, low-salt fish, etc....
