My chicken has a swollen face

Hi, my cockrel's face is swollen. Only the left side of his face. He hasn't been in any fights and he's eating and drinking normally. We don't have an avian vet near us so if anyone knows about this please let me know.

What is your general location? It is cold or do you have mosquitoes out now? Does it look like fowl pox lesions to you? Usually swelling on one side of the face may be due to a sting or symptoms of a respiratory disease with sinus infection. Is his ear swollen as well? Do you see any bubbles, foam, or gunk inside his eye? Is there any sneeze, cough, or labored breathing? Here is what fowl pox looks like below.

I would flush the eye with saline or eye wash twice a day, and apply a small dab of either Terramycin eye ointment or plain Neosporin.
