My chicken has been attacked

Hello! It has been four weeks since the attack. My chicken's wounds have healed and she eats well and is much much better. But unfortunately she is still limping. There doesn't seem to be any injury to the leg but she still hobbles and lifts her leg. I am very concerned about her limp. She has not laid any eggs since the attack. Could the wound on her back effect her leg?

hmmm. How old is she?

It is possible that she still has a sprain or broken bone in her leg. Depending on what part of the leg or foot is involved, is how quickly or how possible it is to heal. Is she back with the flock, and are they picking on her? You can limit her activity to give her more time to recover. I had a hen who limped for about 6 weeks with a sprain once, and she then recovered. Another hen limped for 2 years, and never got better. She would follow the others around the yard, and lie down and hang out with them, but she eventually lost weight and died, probably from a reproductive disorder, but hard to know for sure. Without an xray it is hard to know the exact problem. I hope she does recover.

Although limping she jumps on the perch which is 3 feet high.

How can one tell if she has a broken leg or a sprained leg? She has no bones sticking out. It seems she is not walking on the back toe. I have only three chickens and so I kept her with the other two.
