My chicken has gotten really clingy, what's up?

When my girls are out free ranging, they always run to me when I go outside (at least until they learn I'm not going to the coop to feed them). I love to watch them come from all directions and then hear their swooshing through the grass as they "escort" me. It makes me feel royal
