My chicken is being very noisy please help!!!

Hi all I had 6 hens. They have died over the years I only had one left not just wanting one I went and brought another one, my chicken is normally very chilled but she is making so much noise, it isn’t a distressed call she is just making a lot of clucking noise, out neighbor have complained about the noise as she is that loud she finally stopped last night at 10:30pm and started again at 4:30am and Hasn’t stopped. The new chicken isn’t really bothered she has just stayed out the way. I introduced them when it was getting dark I have done all the normal things any suggestions.

My guess, with the little bit of information you've provided, is that your original chicken is reacting to the new chicken as if they were an intruder and she's trying to let you know that the intruder needs to be dealt with or removed.

One option is to get rid of the new chicken. This would quiet the hen down right away. Or, leave things to work themselves out. The chickens will adjust and settle down in a few days.

Depending on how understanding your neighbor is, you might explain to them the noise is temporary while the two chickens get used to each other. That way, everyone will be able to suffer through the noise, knowing it will not last forever.
