My chicken is dying

I was thinking that too. Maybe you could send a picture of the stool
I don’t have time to read through this thread right now but wanted to urgently throw COCCIDIOSIS out there. Hopefully it’s already been covered, but couldn’t morally leave the thread without saying something before I sign off. Good luck.

I would go to the feed store and buy Corid right away, to start treatment for possible coccidiosis. The symptoms you described earlier, and the age (2 months old) sound like coccidiosis. I would not delay treatment.

Dosage is 1.5 tsp of Corid powder or 2 tsp of Corid liquid per gallon of water for 5-7 days as the only source of water. Treat all chickens.

I'm so sorry for your loss as well. That may be a possibility, as her crop does feel very swollen. What did you use?
At first I thought it was cocci, so I medicated for that but doing research I didn't think it was cocci just jumped the gun. I used ACV for her but she died before I could treat her impaction. I have read that Ducolax stool softener can be used you just have to really make sure she drinks lots of water as the stool softener pulls liquid from the body to the digestive tract. I have not used this and am not a professional just done research.

Also, I would recommend very gently massaging her crop and underbelly. This might be enough to break up the blockage. They seem to enjoy the massage anyway. It brought my girl comfort when she was sick.

I wish I acted faster.. just couldn't figure out how to treat her. :( Thank you
They try (and usually succed) in hiding their illness as a defense mechanism. I took my chick passing as a learning experience... after a full day of crying :(. Good luck she could pull through.
