My chicken is not eating and having this yellow diarrhea. I AM IN NEED OF SERIOUS HELP.

Ah! I have the exact same age plymouth doing the exact same thing right now!.... however, in my case she was limping for about 3 days before she started pooping yellow stuff its not runny but formed.

I have read that yellow can be bile because of them not eating, my hen is pretty thin and she will not eat a darn thing for me!

I would guaranteen her from your others as so they don't catch what she has. Our hen can't walk at all now... I have her on duramycin from Tractor supply....

I was going to also say the duramycin doesn't seem to be helping I am going there today to see what else I can get her on.... try eggs for food cooked or hard boiled of course :)

I found this info online, thought it might help you......

Something you can feed her that is very beneficial is dry cat food, mixed with water in a blender to make a thin paste. This can be fed with a syringe, if needed. If she's eating on her own, a quarter handful, say ten pieces of dry cat food, can be fed to provide high quality animal based protein.
If the diarrhea should continue, she may be suffering from colibacillosis, a bacterial disease of the intestines caused by E. coli. This is a very common poultry disease. If this should be the case, keeping her warm and on the high protein diet I've described, along with a vitamin supplement containing vitamin E would be the best treatment you could give her. Antibiotics can be helpful, but only when given early in the course of the disease, and after the E. coli strain has been cultured and a sensitivity test run to determine the most effective antibiotic. Otherwise, antibiotic treatment is rarely effective.

I just gave her some antibiotics and she ate some bread. She is moving slowly, but at least she is moving. When I let her out all she did was just stand still by the water I gave her. What are some foods that would give her a lot of protein?

I have a white plymouth rock that's about 3 years old and she started acting the same way and it's been over a week now and she is just coming out of it. I think mabey she did eat something she wasn't supposed to. She's just starting to eat real good again but she does still stand around a little instead of being with the others wherever they are. I've been making sure that I have DE in her food just in case it was something else. If Asteroid is not doing any better if it's been over a week then yeah I think I would try antibiotcs to.

So just to keep a news update about my chickens, Asteroid just started eating a little again and i noticed that she pooped and it wasn't diarrhea. This time it had a little green, but for the most part it looked normal. She ate some of my brown rice and was eating a large portion. Well on the happier note Hawk-Eye (my Golden-Sex link) laid her first egg today! Well yeah I think Asteroid is making some improvement, she just seems a little slow and not very motivated to move. She also sleeps standing up, is that a bad sign?

P.S. She just pooped again and it was yellow diarrhea, but it contained some poop in it.

Many chickens choose to sleep either laying down or standing up. I don't think that Asteroid standing while sleeping has any real medical significance to it. Good luck with Asteroid!
