I don't see how one day makes that much difference.I still want to mix my feed, what should I have in there so that the chickens have enough of everything they need to lay 1 egg a day? Yesterday I went to town and got some high-protein supplements and high-protein treats, and her feathers are starting to look better. The swelling in the vent has gone down and it looks normal. She is also gaining weight (she was a featherweight when I started) and also is less skinny. Thanks!![]()
It would be extremely difficult and probably expensive to mix your own feed.
Purchased poultry feed is formulated and nutritionally balanced, it's usually the most cost effective way to feed your chickens as well.
I am glad that she's doing better though
