My chicken is still broody!!!

this is my first time with a broody...since May 25 so over 2 months!! I finally am trying to break her gently, she just needs to. After all the girls have laid for the day, I closed off the coop with the boxes... I forced her to sleep with her friends the first night... the second night it was pitiful, It was time to roost and she came up to me and crooned would I please please open the door and let her up to the boxes? I was sitting on a stump and it appeared she was going to jump up in my lap! She went under my legs and hid there. I felt so sorry that I let her in! She went right up to her box.
Now the next day, she chose to be out with her friends a few times without me prodding! So, I think she is gradually coming around... but I may let her back in tonight, too... I'm a pushover!

Breaking her "gently" is detrimental to her health. While broody she may lose weight, feathers and body condition and be more prone to pest issues since she's mostly sitting in one spot and not much else. Take the hard line with her, 2 months is way too long for this to be going on.

I just hauled off a broody and carried her about 100 yards away so that she has to walk back. Along the way back to the nest they get distracted with things like bugs, plants and friends. I just blocked off the nests last night, so we'll see how this one goes.

It looks like my broody is broken. She wasn't in the nest today and was on the roost tonight even after I forgot to block off the nests. So it took a week.
