My chicken is suddenly ill

Yesterday I noticed one of my hens acting very lethargic, exhibiting very strange behavior. This hen is usually energetic, I would never be able to walk up and grab her. I noticed she was resting in the corner of her run, eyes closed with her head drooping down, than she would lift her head up eyes still closed. No signs of illness other than eyes closed, lethargic, white and green mostly white liquid diarrhea. I thought maybe egg bound, so I put olive oil in her vent with syringe and with a glove on stuck one finger in vent but no egg! I was really hoping i would feel an egg and at least I would know what the problem was. So far I have injected 1cc of tynal 50, and gave her A mixed solution of fenbendazole and water with syringe. I saw a previous post and someone said tapeworm, sorry for kind of being all over the place in my post, it's been a long day. Anyone have any ideas what may be wrong ? What else I could do to help her. Thank you in advance

Personally, as soon as I see that a chicken is sick I separate them from the flock, make them scrambled eggs and give nutri-drench, vitamins and apple cider in their water, then I work from there to figure out what is going on.

Ok thank you. I can't be sure what's going on yet, but I am doing my best to figure out the problem with her. I was hoping it was egg bound but that doesn't seem to be the problem. My best guess at this point because of how lethargic she is coupled with the diarrhea is some kind of stomach intestinal bug maybe some kind of worm.

And she is separated from the rest of the flock at this time as of about 5 or 6 hours ago. I had to feed her water with a syringe, (Yes she's that bad unfortunately) and deworming powder mixed into water through the syringe as well.

I posted a response but I'm new to this so I'm not sure if you can see my response unless I reply directly

It could be, maybe try feeding her raw crushed garlic. It can be very hard to figure out what's going on and half the time it really is a bit of guesswork, I've had hens who look suddenly sick and recover after a week of extra TLC and I never really know what exactly was going on. I figure just pumping them with nutrition and vitamins that they needed helped whatever it was.:idunno

If you dip her beak into water will she drink? you could try yogurt with vitamins mixed in or sometimes I even do vegetable juice for mine.

Ok maybe in the morning I will try to give her some raw crushed garlic. She isn't eating anything at all so I will have to figure out a way to feed it to her via a syringe

I tried earlier today to dip her beak and she shook away and didn't seem to drink any at that attempt. But she got plenty with the syringe

If she has diarrhea it’s possible she has coccidiosis.
It’s a protozoan organism but can be treated with corid.

Hydrate her by dripping water one drop at a time directly onto the top of her beak and let the drip roll down. You’ll see her “taste it”. If she is very lethargic you’ll risk her aspirating if you try to force fluids or food unless you are experienced. It’d be best to try to tempt her with yummy things like scrambled eggs, meal worms etc.

Hopefully this link will work.
