My chicken layed turkey egg

I went out to collect eggs this morning and to my surprise was biggest chicken egg Ii have ever seen.I swear it looks like turkey egg.Easter egger that layed this egg usual egg size is XL/jumbo but nothing like the egg today.It wont fit in any egg cartons I have.Here are some pics.I included other eggs from sizes med up to jumbo next to my giant egg.

I just weighed egg it is quarter pounder.3.2oz.

I love those gigantor eggs. But I can't imagine the hen enjoys laying one that size!

Those big eggs are surprising but do happen once in a while. It could well be a double yolker.

The largest one I ever got was 3.6 oz from a red sex link.

Most likely but chickens have been known to lay eggs with multiple yolks. Triple yolks are not uncommon especially in an egg that size. I have never found a triple yolk myself though.

No I have never seen one either. They are like bigfoot,, I hear about them but no one I have asked has seen one
