My Chicken Loves Beer....

My Girl loves to drink my Beer.

A few days ago I was out chilin with my girl having a beer.
I had to go and check on something so I sat my beer down.
When I came back she had her head in my glass drinking it.
She drank about a 1/4 of my beer. I picked up the glass and
she became a little aggressive with me following the glass and
wanted more.Now everytime I go outside with a beer she will jump up
on my lap and peck at the glass or bottle until I give her some.

Will this hurt my girl or will a little drink now and then be ok?
What is the drinking age for chickens?...LOL

As far as I know chickens drinking beer is no worse then humans drinking it. Lol

Alcohol is not good for any animal to consume. It can cause liver damage fairly quick, especially in birds. I would try giving her something else like fruits and veggies instead as a treat. My birds love pieces of bread as well!

If it causes liver damage then it's probably not a good idea

Alcohol is very damaging to a bird's liver. They have no enzymes to digest it and will cause liver damage in short order. Don't let them drink it.

Oh, well I guess the health of your chicken's liver is a good reason to drink beer out of the bottle or can. If your ever have hops or non alcoholic beer around, you could see if she likes the flavor.
