My chicken sang the egg song!

So my rr laid her second egg today, but no egg song, honestly I think we have the quietiest chooks around! The pekin drakes are louder then the hens! I can hear the neighbors chooks singing egg songs all day!

I have given eggs to the neighbors, this usually helps the transition. While I was building the coop sometime called the city to report, and the only complaint the city had was that the structure was close to the property line. Well that wasn't a problem because the neighbor who complained didn't want to have to pay for a surveyor to come out.

yeah these neighbors are unreasonable. i don't think eggs will even sweeten them up luckily i have a copy of the city code and it says nothing about the coop being within a distance from the property lines. it says they just can't be within 35 feet of a building used for human occupation. and we can't have animals that make noise between the hours of 10-7...usually my girls go in the coop by themselves around 9 and sleep all night. so my neighbors can shove it nicely of course!!!

My girl squats for my toddler and if the other chickens go to shoo her off. She won't squat for me, though!

one of my hens sang the egg song, i keep on thinking she laid an egg but when i check there is none, she also did it in the middle of the night is that normal?

yikes i have a feeling my neighbors are going to HATE me when my chickens sing the song i really hope they don't call the animal ordinance officer. i hate living in the city

They only do it when they lay it can last a little while but Iv not had a problem with the neighbours, most are either at work so miss it or they listen out for it as they love their little song. hope you dont have any problems!
