my chicken sounds hoarse

How old is he? My pullets sound the same, but it's just their voices changing (they are around 10-12 weeks)... chicken puberty! Lol

Check his crop. Is it hard? Is it squishy?
Does his breath stink like vomit?

hard and his breath smells normal as usual

It could be respiratory. A couple of my hens lost their voice for a couple days. I assumed it was a mild respiratory virus, as they improved on their own. Are there any other symptoms?
