Hello Backyard chickeners,

My two chickens are wonderful and when i got them, in 2019, they didnt lay yet, a sign they were still young. They started laying at about the same time eith no problems! Huge, tasty amazing eggs.
Then, around November, they stopped which I think its normal.
However, unfortunately, only one of them layed again and I have no idea what to do. They are young, we feed them a wide range of food and egg supplement and proteins, they are happy chickens and i dont know what is going on.thank you for any feedback..m is this normal?

You say they are young... how old are they? What kind of feed do they get? Around how many hours of sunlight a day are they receiving? How has the weather been?
Yes they are young, i dont know the age exactly but they came in 2019 (not 2018 my mistake!!!) Abd werent laying yet. We feed them corn and veggies, bread, protein, egg suplement, egg shells and egg, it really depends what. We prepair that day! And thry are always free ranging so they catch lots of sun. The weather is fairly Nice with some rainy days but overall very good, and they are always in the sun too 7am-8pm.... So i have no idea whats wrong

Thats an option... Here is her:
She looks active.

Time for an exam:

Then:
Free range birds sometimes need to be 'trained'(or re-trained) to lay in the coop nests, especially new layers. Leaving them locked in the coop for a week or so can help 'home' them to lay in the coop nests. Fake eggs/golf balls in the nests can help 'show' them were to lay. They can be confined to coop and maybe run 24/7 for a few days to a week, provided you have adequate space and ventilation, or confine them at least until mid to late afternoon. You help them create a new habit and they will usually stick with it. ..at least for a good while, then repeat as necessary.
