I am byc user since 6 months or more,
but i am wandering to which forum i shud introduce my self and give this kind of info... :pp any ways
i like chicks very much...
i mean chickens :p....
so i have a rooster, (now hes dead), and chiken(dead too){they are normal chikens like we watch in tv and cartoon}
and 2 fancy brown chiken they were cute though..(dead too :( !!)
so now i have 2 chickens alive 1 is small and 1 is bigg (the big one in our language we called it aseel)
they are basically long leged hens and tall from other hens,
so my story is ..that these dead chickens..died i dont know whyyy??
first they were making sound like somthin stuck in their thought,
after some time they starts sneezing,
and totally left eating food
so i searched up internet i found its the symtom of gap worm,
so i called the doctor and he gave me the medicine
named TRACBACTARIAL so i gave them mixed the liquid with water,
so 2nd day when i checked my hens in order to check efffect of medicine
my hen got more sick !!!!!!!!
and then i cared too much of my hens...
but nothin happend
they kept swallowing like somthin...
and were hard to breath..
so some 1 please tell me how to treat this problem??
1 thing more , 5 years back i also did raised the chickens.. but my all chickens die like the same problem....
i dont know why they always die like this??
any help wud be very very appreciated!!
thanks in advance

Hi, welcome to BYC from here in Washington State USA! I'm sorry to here about your chickens, I have never dealt with Gape Worm before. It could be from where you get the chickens from, you could be getting them already infected. Or it could be something there eating or drinking that's infecting them...but I really don't know.

Again, welcome to the sight and sorry about your chickens.

I use a dewormer (moxidectin) for gape worm infestation. I'm not sure what is available in your country, but it sounds like you were treating your birds for respiratory infection.

no i bought those chickens when they were chick too small...
but when they get ful age after some time they left up eating and sneezes and at the end they look like its hard for breathing for them
