At first, I didn't think they were pretty...when I picked them up, at 18 weeks old they were skinny, not very big and looked un-kept.. I wasn't impressed w/ them...

Six weeks later, after much food, treats, worming, grass, a ton of crickets-and a hundred other goodies they look 'marvelous, darling"---or at least I think they do..

They have beautiful feathers, their feet and beaks look clean and healthy, their combs and wattles are turning BRIGHT red.. The Barred Rocks are so striking with the red combs and black and white feathers..The Buff Orpingtons looking like spun gold--our roo (BO) is growing, his comb and wattles look so bright and healthy---he is very 'happy' with all his girls! The Rhode Island Reds are the prefect shade of deep red...My little Ameraucanas have muffs and those dark legs...And my little EEs (who are younger than the others) have grown, filled out and are as large as the RIRs. They have nice muffs, dark legs and 'partridge' coloring!!

I haven't gotten my first egg YET but they sure are wonderful eye candy!!

Anyone else?? Do you think Your birds are beautiful???

I am going to try to post pictures tomorrow...Dixie

I agree Dixie. I think mine are beautiful, too!

When we first got them my husband said, "honey...they kinda look like buzzards through the face". Not anymore!

Now he thinks they are pretty as well!

lol we sit around admiring our birds at some point every day . . . especially the babies we got from dipsydoodle they have the prettiest dove heads even though they are ameraucanas!

I'll be worming all of mine in the next few weeks. I hope it helps them start laying. some are 26 weeks, others are just 17 weeks.

And yeah, mine are gorgeous.
